Welcome to access the website of the Department of Accounting. The Department of Accounting provides undergraduate, master and in-service master programs. The undergraduate students attend classes at Taipei campus, and students of master and in-service master programs attend classes at Jihe campus opposite Shihlin Night Market. Not only do the departmental teachers take teaching diligently and seriously, they are highly experienced, pay great attention to students’ lives, and attach great importance to their career development. The teachers are trusted by the students to lead them to learn professional knowledge, participate in activities, grow and thrive. Meanwhile, the administrative team takes responsible to assist teachers and students by providing various services and support. Under the joint efforts of the teachers, administrative team and all students of the Department of Accounting, they have established a sound learning environment, a strong centripetal force, and a steady and solid learning atmosphere.
With regard to curriculum planning, the core accounting lessons focus on nurturing students’ professional skills and literacy with a goal to acquire accredited bookkeeper and accountant licenses, and supplemented with management, legal and accounting information courses to expand the students’ vision and orientation. To cultivate an international concept, the junior students can apply for student exchange program with more than 90 cooperative foreign sister schools. The Department has also opened senior student business internship courses to allow students to practice at the departmental cooperative accounting firms and general enterprises with the purpose to counsel students to enter the workplace successfully. For students who wish to continue their studies, the Department also provides a five-year plan where junior and senior students can apply to take advance institute courses, thereby obtaining both bachelor and master degrees within five years to help them make the most efficient career planning.
With regard to departmental achievements, the accounting teachers and students have won excellent performances while participating in various off-campus competitions, such as Teachers’ MOS Program, College Students’ MOS Research Program, Nationwide College and University Computer Evaluation Case Competition, School Cheerleading Competition, etc. In addition, the Department of Accounting has obtained Excellent Community Assessment Award for many years. Meanwhile, the Student Association has been actively involved in organizing activities regularly, including the Welcoming Camp, Winter Dance Party, various ball games, etc. The rich and interesting activities have attracted keen participation of students.
Looking ahead, in addition to continue focusing on cultivating students’ accounting professional abilities and guiding them to acquire licenses, the Department of Accounting also strives to establish departmental characteristics to enhance students’ internationalization and creative skills. Secondly, the teachers and administrative team regularly assess the students’ results and adjust the curriculum structures at any time in line with the environment, hoping that the knowledge learned by students are able to meet the needs of the country and society in the future.
